Is I Wage Peace . Org Anti-Semitic?

No, we are not ant-Semitic; but we recognize that many Americans confuse opposition to some pieces of Israeli foreign policy with anti-Semitism.  This page serves as a reminder that many U.S. Christians oppose the American occupation of Iraq and many Israeli Jews and American Jews oppose Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.  None of these well meaning individuals are anti-Semitic, and neither are we.

“ICAHD is a non-violent, direct-action group originally established to oppose and resist Israeli demolition of Palestinian houses in the Occupied Territories. As our activists gained direct knowledge of the brutalities of the Occupation, we expanded our resistance activities to other areas - land expropriation, settlement expansion, by-pass road construction, policies of "closure" and "separation," the wholesale uprooting of fruit and olive trees and more. The fierce repression of Palestinian efforts to "shake off" the Occupation following the latest Intifada has only added urgency to our efforts. “  Check out their frequently asked questions.

Americans for Peace Now is yet another Jewish Organization that strongly opposes the occupation.   They have an interesting section that discusses the history of each illegal settlement.

Meretz USA is another case in point.  This Jewish organization professes clear opposition to the occupation of Gaza and the West Bank without abandoning their Zionist  identity.   We support Meretz position that Israel has a right to exist and has a right to defend itself against attack.  There remain differing opinions among peace organizations on what constitutes defense.  This is one of them.
