The Carter Center?
Dig into his Op-Ed’s. Carter is blunt, meaty, truth filled, and passionate on the subjects he knows best. I suggest you read his Op-Ed published on March 13th 2006 entitled Colonization of Palestine Precludes Peace and the more recent Op-Ed entitled Israel's New Plan: A Land Grab. Both can be found on the Carter Center Web Site under “News and Info, Op-Ed’s”. After reading them, write your congressperson and tell them to get real in the Middle East.
You see, President Jimmy Carter is a world wide warrior for Peace. He is an international expert, if you will, on the subject. If you are not convinced, consider this: Camp David is “the model” of successful diplomacy in the Middle East. Lest we forget, Egypt and Israel were in open war, and Carter brokered a peace where Israel gave land captured from Egypt back to Egypt, in exchange for Peace. And that Peace has stood the test of time. Nobody has done it better than Jimmy Carter. Will Israel return the captured territories back to the Palestinians?
Carter didn’t retire on his laurels; after he left office he set right to work building peace by building trust, rebuilding lives, cities, and nations. So check out those Op-Ed’s on the Middle East, then write some letters to your editor, Congressperson, and Senator. Get out there and Wage some Holy Peace!
